The African Conference on Debt and Development (AFCODD)ll

Sprout Women Empowerment Trust  is attending the African Conference on Debt and Development (AFCODD)ll being held in Harare today. Participating on Zimbabwe arrears clearance strategy and reflecting on public debt report in the mid term review statement.

One of our objectives as Sprout Women Empowerment Trust is to educate women and girls on diversified food sources  to reduce the impact of disturbances in the food supply within the households caused by hunger and poverty.

Mushroom farming has been one of our best initiatives and we are proud that the women we trained in Chitungwiza are already harvesting. They are feeding their families and also selling mushrooms which is an opportunity to earn some income.
