Collaborating on Climate Change Initiatives

Explore our latest collaboration with Action Aid Zimbabwe-SPA 2 Programme as we join forces to combat poverty, inequality, and the impacts of climate change on young people. Learn how this collaboration will strengthen our programming.
Climate change is no longer a distant threat; it is happening here and now, and we must act with urgency to address it.
At Sprout Women Empowerment Trust (SWET), we are committed to addressing the multifaceted challenges posed by climate change and its impacts on vulnerable communities. Recently, we had the privilege of participating in the Inception Meeting of the Action Aid Zimbabwe- SPA 2 Programme, marking the launch of a significant project aimed at combating poverty, inequality, and the effects of climate change on young people.
The Action Aid Zimbabwe-SPA 2 Programme, scheduled to run from 2022 to 2025, aligns closely with our mission to empower women and young people to overcome the challenges they face in the face of climate change. By focusing on fighting poverty and inequality while addressing the impacts of climate change, this program offers a vital platform for collaboration and action.
As we look ahead, we are excited about the opportunities for engagement and partnership that lie ahead. These collaborations will not only strengthen our programming but also enable us to expand our reach into new areas where our impact has yet to be felt. We are particularly eager to share knowledge and resources in the targeted regions of Mbire, Binga, Chimanimani, and Chipinge, where communities are grappling with the devastating effects of climate change.
Through strategic partnerships and collective action, we can amplify our efforts to build resilience and empower communities to adapt to a changing climate. By working together, we can create a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
